From suggestion to publication
What happens next.
We consider reader suggestions when choosing future titles. Before taking a book forward, we check the rights in the countries where it would be published and find suitable source texts and reference translations. We cannot publish every suggestion.
01
Received
We review the suggested work and the interest readers have expressed in it.
02
Announced
Once the rights and source material have been checked and we have decided to publish, we announce the edition.
03
On hold
If questions about rights or source material prevent us from proceeding, we explain why the proposal is on hold.
Correspondence
Send us your classic suggestion.
We welcome suggestions for classics. Send us the title and your preferred reading language, along with any edition or translation worth consulting. We check copyright status in each intended country of publication. If your suggestion leads to a book, we can thank you by name, initials or a pen name, with your permission.

Se todella lämmitti mieltä.”“I suggested a classic and heard back within a few weeks. They considered my request, and before long the book was published. I was really touched.”
